In A Singaporean Nutshell

If theres two things I don't like, its REALLY unreasonable self righteous puritan like Singaporeans as well as very bad service.
I've been out for the weekend so the lack of update, but seriously, I didn't expect to come across the two worst type of Singaporean situations in consecutive days. Yeah man, you made my day. Like read my sarcasm. First was yesterday. There was this woman, she seemed the fussy type. She wore this horizontal striped t-shirt (which Wei Sheng will remember for sure) and really puffed up grey pants. Basically we were at Marina Square for INITIAL D (Yeah! Thank God its not boring! And Jay Chou can act okay! I was wrong... I thought he couldn't... My bad. :P) and after watching that movie we decided to check out the performance at the centre stage in the middle of the jungle of restaurants.
There was a crowd at the glass panel kinda thing (like the kind to seperate the thin air from the second story which you can lean over) and just nice a couple walked away, so Wei Sheng and I went there to take a look. We were leaning in just to take a closer look (cos the pianist looked familiar, like RUTH from WALKING ON WATER) and we weren't sure if it was her. So yeah, we leaned in. And before we could even bang or touch the woman beside us, she lizard chitted ('tsk-tsk') us. Then she snapped at us (mainly Wei Sheng), "You should ask me if you want me to move right?" And I thought I heard her mutter under her breath about us being 'rude' and 'uninitiated'.
I thought maybe Wei Sheng had leaned at her by accident or something, but the truth was he didn't even come close to her, there was even still space! That woman was like crazy lah. What was her problem? Its not like we needed space since there was some left over? And we didn't even touch her? What she extra sensitive ah? After that she 'tsked' to herself again before walking away... And the eerie thing was, when I turned around, I saw her smiling to herself for absolutely nothing... Thats so spooky lah. Spooky weird! :X I don't understand what was that all about lah? Just so she feels superior or something? That like so pissed me off. One word, "WHATEVER!"
Then today when I went down to Estela 77 with dearie, Sutrisno, Hanafie and their friends (Kenneth and two girls), there was the weirdo staff.
Frankly I didn't really wanna eat from there cos it seemed a tad bit expensive, but we ate there anyway. So we settled down at the 'comfy' seats at the corner of the shop near the counter. When we were settled down nicely, one of the staff came over and told us to sit some where else because the staff would come out and serve food and that the tables were near the place where they came out. Like huh? So we had to move because you need to come out? But if I'm not wrong there was ample space to take the bowls and serve lah... And then someone (maybe Su) said that it was a work of architectural genius. Yeah man... Architectual genius to put seats there but not let customers sit there... And they were the ONLY comfy seats around lah... WEIRD!
Thats not the end of bad service okay!
They took forever (we even joked about something on the menu 'TEH SOSRO' - Teh SO SLOW) to serve and when they did, they didn't provide utencils. :S Like what the heck? Might as well serve the utencils? It was self service for the utencils. -_-" If I was an anime character, I would probably look like that with the giant sweatdrop (x100).
I don't understand whats the matter with the service. The food were at least four dollars up lah, and this is the type of service you get? I might as well go to a food court?
I find it weird that they can't just make it self service since the service is like SHIT. I mean, theres even instructions on how the service is like. Take a order list, tick what you want, send to the counter, pay the counter, they serve to you, enjoy songs playing. What the heck?
And they serve without the utencils? Utencils self service? I find this really mind bogglingly crazy. And the worst part is when I was leaving I see the staff making themselves comfy at the comfy seats. So I see why we can't sit there.
Thank God the music wasn't so bad. The only redeeming point of the shop. Bad service and unreasonable people... Ultimate peeve man!
Pishhyyyily pissed, carrie
P.S: Initial D is a good show if you either a) read subtitles really quickly b) love cars or c) love Jay Chou unconditionally or d) can understand chinese fluently
Much better than I expected and JAY CHOU CAN ACT OKAY! I thought he couldn't! I'm so shocked. Generally, I enjoyed my last holiday weekend, I just felt I MUST let the world know about Estela 77's really lousy service so they won't waste their money on tasteless chicken noodles and bad attitudes. Also I had to let everyone know that I hate unreasonable crazy people who think just cos they're older they can tick people off for nothing.
GAH!
Really... I forgot to mention, Zero Infinity got pretty good comments at their School of Rock competition! HEH! CONGRATS GUYS! :D Oh, and the ticket-seller at the Marina Square GV was charming or so in Wei Sheng's terms. I thought he looked a bit ah beng. But okay lah, quite charming lah. Lol. My dearie is more charming I think. And I'm not biased. Charm is linked to charisma, I think my dearie has more of that! :P
Oh oh... And the teenage icon thingy... We ill treated someones stuffed seal. :P
This blog contains the memories of two people who hated each other at first, managed to get to know each other anyway, got attached for a year plus and then decided to break up.
They are very different people especially in personality and even though they love(ed) each other very much, there are some things that because of love, you have to let go.
Just happened that it would have to be this relationship.
They now remain very very good friends. (Time will tell if this sentence actually holds.)
